Sewing Machines for Refugees in Greece

Sew Much Hope helped the Dolls of Hope team with sewing machines and bags full of fabric and supplies when they visited Lifting Hands International’s refugee center in Greece to set up a sewing corner in the Women’s Center.

The corner lets Yazidi women make their own clothing, and it lets them sew dolls and bears that are sent to Yazidi orphans who survived the genocide in Iraq. The team spent ten days training the women and the LHI volunteers on how to use the machines, how to care for them, and how to make the dolls and bears.
