Sewing Machines for Refugees in Greece

Sew Much Hope helped The Dolls of Hope Team with sewing machines and bags full of fabric and sewing supplies recently when they visited Lifting Hands International’s (LHI) Refugee Center in Greece to establish a sewing corner in the Women’s Center. The Women’s Center will allow the Yazidi women to make their own clothing as well as sew dolls and bears which will be sent to Yazidi orphans who have survived genocide in Iraq. The team spent 10 days helping train the Yazidi women and LHI volunteers on how to use the sewing machines, take care of the machines, and make the dolls and bears.
