There are many ways to help Sew Much Hope change lives. Pick the one that fits you.
Give
Your donation covers the cost of buying old machines, cleaning and refurbishing them, converting electric machines to hand crank, replacement parts, and the carry-on luggage that gets a machine overseas. We take gifts through Zeffy, which charges us nothing, so 100% of what you give goes to the work.
Sponsor a life. A machine plus training lets one person open a small business. The income reaches a whole family, and a trained sewer nearly always ends up teaching someone else.
Donate a Sewing Machine
Do you have a sewing machine hiding in a closet? Mom’s closet, or grandma’s? We would like to put it to work. Any working machine helps, and some will be fitted with a hand crank for communities without steady power.
We also welcome about $20 toward shipping with each machine. Contact us to arrange a drop-off in Utah County. We can’t get to every area, but we will try.
Carry a Machine
Traveling abroad? Pack hope. A refurbished machine fits in a carry-on bag, and hand-delivering one is the simplest way we know to get a machine where it needs to go. We pack it, tell you what to expect at customs, and connect you with the school or group on the other end. Two machines reached Cameroon this way in 2025.
Volunteer through

VolunteerPartner With Us
Are you a nonprofit, a sewing school, or a group traveling to a community in need? We supply the machines; you take them in country and put them to work. Most of our partners run a sewing school, and their students go on to sew school uniforms, hygiene kits, clothing and goods to sell.
Businesses can help too. A corporate sponsorship covers a batch of machines, spare parts, or the shipping for a partner’s trip. We are glad to talk about what fits.
